Double Dubbel pays homage to trappist monks…and, well, “Monk Larry.” The addition of dark homemade candi syrup during high krausen lends subtle undertones of plum. Like a mad scientist concocting experiments, Larry spent his first five brewing years in his garage adding this and that ingredient until the masterpiece was made.
